Introducing Educational and Sporting Futures, the new brand name for Sporting Futures Training.
Sporting Futures Training has transitioned to a new name to showcase our increased apprenticeship offering of both educational and sport-based apprenticeships.
The new name reflects our full range of innovative education and sport-based apprenticeship training programmes that we have evolved to successfully deliver over 12 years.
Since our launch in 2011, our mission has been to raise the aspirations of individuals and create opportunities for all ages to learn, train, and upskill through high-quality apprenticeships.
Apprenticeships offer specialist educational training for school leavers looking for a career in education and anyone who is currently working in a school to upskill and gain a nationally recognised qualification to support a job role they are employed in.
The ethos of the Educational and Sporting Futures is for young people and experienced staff to use work-based learning to get them onto the next step of their journey, whether to progress into a pathway in higher education, teaching, or sport.
Our specialist educational training meets the demands of Classroom Teaching Assistants so they are equipped with skills to provide expert support to the growing rise of young children attending school with undiagnosed special educational needs.
For many school leavers, who are uncertain of their next steps, an apprenticeship offers an entry-level apprenticeship to support young people to take their first step onto an employment pathway and access further opportunities.
Alongside its staff, Educational and Sporting Futures is led by its co-directors, Jill Eaton, MBE, and Jo Pountney, who are all from teaching backgrounds and understand the challenges faced in schools.
Having recently joined forces with Real Group Training, Educational and Sporting Futures continues to grow from strength to strength
The partnership offers an opportunity for us to focus on developing and building innovative apprenticeship programmes, applying expertise in educational testing. The courses are designed to train and support Classroom Teaching Assistants to meet the growing rise of young children attending school with undiagnosed special educational needs.
“As we start a new academic year, the time is right to re-position our brand to recognise and adapt to the changing needs of young people in schools. We are ready to work with schools, academies, and multi-academy trusts, to meet the ever-increasing needs of the staff team. For our learners, they are supported by a team of tutors committed to learner’s achievements, often exceeding national achievement rates.”
“The value of apprenticeships is immense and whilst we face challenges, we must strive to ensure that apprenticeships continue to fulfil the purpose for which they were developed.
