Whitehill Junior School

“We have been working with Educational and Sporting Futures now for around 13 years, employing sports apprentices throughout this time. The ability to find our own staff, who we feel would be a good fit for the school, is wonderful and we have been expertly supported throughout the recruitment process every time. Having said this, the one time we didn’t have a candidate in mind, ESF knew our school and were able to help select the right person for our setting.

The training and support our apprentices receive is excellent. The administrative support is equally as good and the journey through the programme is smooth. Several of our apprentices have gone on to complete their level 4 with us after a successful level 3 year, demonstrating their aptitude for teaching; a career they are now enjoying.

When dealing with the challenges of staffing, especially thinking about targeted support for pupils with additional needs, for example, two of my current apprentices are also named as 1:1 support for individuals building up an understanding of whole class support as well as the delivery of PE.

I couldn’t recommend Educational and Sporting Futures and the apprenticeship programme highly enough and have already got in mind my plans for September 2025!”
