Functional skills is additional support provided as part of our apprenticeship training

Functional Skills – Levels 1 and 2

Educational and Sporting Futures Training is here to support our apprentices through every step of their learning journey.

If you apply for an apprenticeship and if you did not achieve a minimum grade GCSE in Maths or English we provide additional training with our Functional Skills tutors.

If required virtual Functional Skills sessions take place each week in English and maths, included as part of your apprenticeship and we will ensure every apprentice is given the opportunity to achieve at the right level to pass their apprenticeship.

Level 2 qualifications are mandatory in English and maths for most jobs and University courses. These qualifications are equivalent to GCSE level 4 and they can help to improve employment opportunities and career pathways.
