For school leavers, who have finished school and who are undecided about their next career steps, an apprenticeship provides an alternative pathway for students completing either their GCSEs or A Levels. Apprentices get paid, so you can experience the job you’re training in and receive a monthly wage.

An apprenticeship offers students a rewarding career opportunity between full-time employment and higher education following the end of their GCSEs or A-Levels.
Apprenticeship Levels
Students leaving school at GCSE level – will qualify for level 2 and level 3 apprenticeships.
Students leaving after A-Levels – they will qualify for higher apprenticeships Level 4 and degree apprenticeships.
Students can start applying for apprenticeship as soon as they turn 16, and during, or after finishing their GCSEs.
