What do you enjoy most about your apprenticeship?

I enjoy attending central training days because I always come away with a range of fun activities that I can deliver in my own setting. It’s been great to learn how to work effectively as part of a team.

What initiatives have you been able to implement as an apprentice?

Thanks to the skills and confidence I’ve gained during my apprenticeship, I have started new sports clubs at my school (Fitness and Multi-Sports).

How has your tutor supported you?

My tutor has been incredibly supportive throughout my apprenticeship journey. I know that if I ever have a question or need help on a task, he will always make time to help me.

How would you describe your apprenticeship journey?

Everything I have learnt, participated in, and achieved during my apprenticeship has been both extremely beneficial and motivating. When I finish my apprenticeship, I know that I will leave with a huge amount of skills I wouldn’t have gained anywhere else. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the pupils in my school and helping them to teach their full potential in P.E.

Which aspect of the apprenticeship have been the hardest?

For a period of time, I did struggle with completing my coursework but then my tutor arranged a meeting with myself and my mentor and we jointly put together a plan of action to support me going forward. Ever since I have been able to stay on top of my coursework and have met all of the deadlines set.

What are your future aspirations?

After I’ve completed my apprenticeship, I plan to go to university to obtain a teaching degree.
