Our Teaching Assistant with SEND Apprenticeship training programmes can either be used to train a new apprentice or to upskill a current Teaching Assistant.
Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeships
The Level 3 Teaching Assistant standard apprenticeship equips learners with the knowledge, skills, and behaviours in SEND to support the teacher and enhance pupils learning in the classroom.
We deliver an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ rated Teaching Assistant programme that focuses on meeting the current needs of pupils and schools.
Enhance your Teaching Assistant workforce:
- Upskill and further develop the knowledge and skills of your current Teaching Assistants
- Increasing capacity through employing new apprentice Teaching Assistants to work within the classroom and provide 1:1 support
Develop specialist SEND knowledge and skills
- Develop practical strategies for supporting pupils with SEND in the classroom and through interventions
- Masterclasses in understanding and supporting the high-incidence needs of children including Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and ADHD.
- Opportunities to share good practice through networking with other Apprentices, TA’s, Teachers, and Schools
Course content:
Our curriculum model that works for schools has been created to include a blended experience of live teaching sessions, online master classes, and practical research tasks.

- Behaviour support strategies
- The National Curriculum and effective assessment practice
- Effective communication to support the needs of children.
Fund the TA apprenticeship through your Apprenticeship Levy
By using your Apprenticeship Levy to maximum effect as a CPD budget, means there is no cost to your school.
Employing an Apprentice
- This is based on an apprentice working for 30 hours a week. Part-time is possible, however the duration would be extended
- Blended model of training being delivered by specialist tutors from teaching backgrounds
Knebworth School has always had strong links within the local community. We have been a member of the Sporting Futures Team for many years and have always benefited from the many excellent sporting opportunities they provide to schools.
When we were looking for a training provider to support us with upskilling current members of staff to apprenticeship standard Educational and Sporting Futures seemed the perfect choice!
We already knew Karen and Jill and this organisation had come highly recommended from other primary schools in the area.
At present six of our staff are undertaking Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeships and they are thoroughly enjoying this experience. They relish the opportunity to engage in fortnightly professional development which in turn is supporting them to support our pupils to an even higher standard.
They are always talking to one another about their study, sharing ideas, top tips and good practice and it has been so rewarding to see our staff engaging in such a high quality qualification.
