The Youth Sport Trust runs the National School Sports Week which aims to encourage children to be more active and to promote the role of sport and physical education at school.

The theme this year is powered by Sports Direct’s Monster Kickabout, bringing a special one-off Euro 2024 event that emphasises football as a means to engage young people in 60 minutes a day of PE, sport and play.

With a combination of inspiration from the Euros, Olympics and Paralympics taking place this summer, it is the perfect backdrop to inspire children to kick footballs, get involved in all sports activities and play fun games.

Have you thought of employing a PE Apprentice to enhance the engagement of physical activity of pupils?

The schools we partner with who host one of our PE apprentices benefit from the extra capacity to run activities to ensure children achieve the government’s guideline of children meeting the 60 minutes of daily physical activity.

By hiring a PE Teaching Assistant Apprentice, your school can role model PE and sports, and have the additional capacity to champion physical activity and wellbeing for your pupils.

A PE Teaching Assistant Apprentice becomes a valuable role model for pupils in both primary and secondary schools.

Hire a PE Teaching Assistant and champion the importance of 60 minutes a day of PE, sport and play for your pupils, throughout the school year, not just for National School Sports Week.

All schools are welcome to get involved in the Monster Kickabout,

To receive free teaching resources, which bring football-themed activities to schools up and down the country, schools can register for the one-off Euro 2024 event, and support Youth Sport Trust’s National School Sports Week.
