Level 3 Teaching Assistant – PE, Health and Wellbeing Focus

Amber completed her Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship with a PE focus, and was based at Etonbury Academy.

I enjoyed the training days and the chance to meet other apprentices. I also really enjoyed the helpful staff at Educational and Sporting Futures all of the staff members are lovely and always make me feel like I can rely on them as a helping hand.

I can’t put it into words how much support my tutor has given me. He helped me adapt tasks to support my confidence issues and my anxiety and was always there if I needed him to support me, ensuring I finished my apprenticeship with the best possible outcome.

I’ve used all of my ESF training to create a positive impact in my school and I really enjoy working at Etonbury Academy. Thanks to ESF Apprenticeships, I have gained the confidence to be brave and step outside my comfort zone, and I can now honestly say that I come into work and love my job.

To continue my work at Etonbury Academy as a Teaching Assistant. I’d like to progress my career even further within the school, and intend on undertaking further education to enable me to do so.

Absolutely. If you’re anything like me and prefer a more hands-on and creative approach to sitting in a classroom, it’s a much better option than A-Levels or College. The staff and tutors are so welcoming and so supportive when it comes to the work and the training days. I have enjoyed every minute of my apprenticeship, from meeting new people to learning new things that have helped me with my day-to-day work.

I have really enjoyed it. I went into my apprenticeship with the mindset of preferring to work with primary aged pupils, but as of September 2023 I have been working with a student in the secondary school, and I LOVE IT! I have used my knowledge gained during my apprenticeship to help me with both age groups.
